Statement of Faith

These are the core beliefs that guide and unite our church. We hold to the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture.

The Scriptures

We believe that the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Godhead is fully God, coequal and coeternal.

God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, who is infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in His being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, baptizes, seals, and fills believers. He empowers believers for godly living and service, and distributes spiritual gifts for the edification of the church.

Humanity

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God, but through the fall of Adam, all people have inherited a sinful nature and are guilty before God. Apart from divine grace, no one is able to save themselves or meet the righteous requirements of God.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a free gift from God, not earned by human effort or merit. All who repent of their sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are justified by His blood and regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

The Church

We believe that the universal church is the body of Christ, composed of all who have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. The local church is a visible expression of the universal church, where believers gather for worship, teaching, fellowship, prayer, and the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Baptism and the Lord's Supper

We believe that believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper are ordinances instituted by Christ. Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. The Lord's Supper is a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He comes.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ. He will judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end. All people will be resurrected—those who have believed in Christ to eternal life, and those who have rejected Him to eternal condemnation.
